Leafs Captain Auston Matthews' Latest Comments All But Confirm the Team's Playoff Starting Goaltender

The Toronto Maple Leafs still don't have a starting goalie for the playoffs, however, Auston Matthews' latest remarks may have just given the team an answer.
Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz have been a sensational goaltending duo, although this has led to some issues for the Leafs as they do not have a solid starting goalie.
While both goalies could do the job relatively well, they are still making the decision incredibly difficult for head coach Craig Berube.
However, some recent comments from captain Auston Matthews may have just determined who the starting goalie should be, moving forward.
Auston Matthews with epic praise for Joseph Woll
On Wednesday night, the Maple Leafs defeated the Colorado Avalanche by a score of 2-1 and it came thanks to a 38-save performance from Woll.
After the game, Matthews had some massive praise for the goaltender, claiming that he is always focused and that he battles back even if he is playing poorly.
«It doesn't really matter what's going on in the game,» Matthews said. «He could be playing good, he could be playing bad, I find he's always got the same attitude and the same mentality. Approaches things the same every night, he's extremely focused. I thought, tonight, he was excellent for us.»
Given Woll's recent winning streak and his latest string of performances, there is no doubt that he is deserving of being the guy in the playoffs.
Although Stolarz had a better start to the season, the Brick Woll has simply been more effective down the stretch which makes him the better option for right now.
Having said that, there are still 13 games left in the regular season and a lot can happen between now and that first playoff game.
Only time will tell whether or not Joseph Woll or Anthony Stolarz wins the net once and for all.
