The Toronto Maple Leafs are on the verge of winning the Atlantic Division and now, the team is dealing with the reality of a first round series against the Senators.
With the
Toronto Maple Leafs just one point away from taking the Atlantic Division, there has been a lot of chatter about when the playoffs will begin.
However, there is still some business to attend to. On Tuesday, the Leafs play the Buffalo Sabres and on Thursday, they will get to play against the Detroit Red Wings.

According to Nick Alberga, the playoff schedule is pretty well set in stone at this point. Essentially, the Leafs are going to start their playoff journey on Sunday.
From there, all of the games will mostly happen every second day except for the two-day gap between Games 4 and 5.
If the Leafs manage to clinch the Atlantic and face Ottawa, it's believed the Battle of Ontario would kick off Sunday night. The series would then be expected to follow a Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday schedule, with games also set for the following Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday if necessary.
