Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube recently spoke about Nick Robertson who was a healthy scratch against the Utah Hockey Club on Monday night.

Nick Robertson is a player who has had a lot of ups and downs with the Toronto Maple Leafs this season.
In 55 games, he has just 17 points with 11 of those being goals. It isn't the production that fans have been hoping for and there is a lot of speculation as to what his future is.
That speculation certainly grew on Monday when it was revealed that Robertson would be a healthy scratch against the Utah Hockey Club.

However, Robertson did get some praise from head coach Craig Berube, who was quick to note that his forward did nothing to earn a demotion. Instead, it was just a decision that had to be made.
"Nothing that Robbie did wrong. He's worked hard & he's played some good hockey for us, but I gotta make decisions. They're hard decisions. They're not easy decisions & it's just what I went with tonight"
The Maple Leafs know what they are doing and it certainly paid big dividends for them in this game.
However, they now must figure out what they are going to do with Robertson come the summer as he becomes a free agent.
It seems more likely than not that they are just going to let him go seeing as though he has not been the best player for them this season.
General Manager Brad Treliving has a difficult decision on his hands but if Nick Robertson shows some bite in the playoffs, then perhaps things will change.
