Las Vegas Golden Knights Update Their Trade Package for Mitch Marner

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner is trying to go to a new team in free agency, and the Las Vegas Golden Knights are willing to do a sign-and-trade.
Yesterday, a bombshell report came out from Elliotte Friedman, who revealed that the Toronto Maple Leafs and Las Vegas Golden Knights were working on a Mitch Marner sign-and-trade.
At the time of the report, it was stated that the Maple Leafs were going to get Nicolas Roy in return. Of course, Roy is a solid center who could be used in the bottom six.
Overall, it would be a masterful move from general manager Brad Treliving, and Maple Leafs fans are hopeful that it happens sooner rather than later.

However, there was an update from reporter Bruce Garrioch late on Saturday, which suggests the Leafs may get a better package than anticipated.
Garrioch says defenseman Nicolas Hague would also be part of the return, which is huge.
There is talk amongst league executives that the Leafs have asked for Nicolas Roy and Nicolas Hague in return. It will be interesting to see if this happens.
Furthermore, the Empty Netters podcast went on to say that on top of Roy and Hague, the Leafs would potentially also get a draft pick, which is absolutely bonkers.
Getting the feeling that Roy, Hague, and possibly a draft pick would be heading to Toronto to bring Mitch Marner to Vegas in a sign and trade deal
This would be a huge move for the Maple Leafs to make, and there is no denying that the fans would love to see it happen.
Losing Marner for nothing would be disastrous. But if the Leafs can get a return, then they are already starting off free agency with a bang.
